Super Bowl Ads

If, like us over at Geek Crew HQ, you stayed up to watch the Super Bowl, you may have seen trailers during the Ad breaks for the biggest cinematic releases of the year. In the UK however, due to broadcasting restrictions the only way to see them is if you shell out, like we do, £140 for NFL Gampass and you get the US broadcast. So, for those that missed them because they watched it on Sky/BBC or just went to bed like a normal person, here are some we loved.

Solo: A Star Wars Story: SQQQQQQQUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEE, holy Greedo we are very very excited about this!! Was Han Solo an Imperial Pilot, Lando has SWAG, Chewie is in it. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom: With more teeth than a denture factory, Jurassic World looks like it got an Aliens-esque action makeover. Chris Pratt & Bryce Dallas Howard are back to reprise their roles, as is one of his pet Velociraptors. Hopefully Pratt remembers to be charismatic in this one and the writers/directors remember to give her a part worthy of her talent and more sensible shoes!

Skyscraper: NOPE, he’s never making that jump. This looks terrible and I’ll be avoiding it but you guys can make up your own minds.

Avengers: Infinity War: A movie of epic proportions given some nice moments in a 30 second spot here. Still gave me goosebumps. It has all been building to this.

Mission: Impossible- Fallout: This franchise isn’t respected nearly enough in my opinion. The action beats most things knocking around Hollywood at the moment and the storys are always well thought out. Tom Cruise looks to be on top form here and the supporting cast is top notch.

The Cloverfield Paradox: Part 3 of the Cloverfield saga was teased last night in this trailer. Then promptly added to Netflix straight away. Yes, you read that correctly, it’s on Netflix now. THIS IS NOT A DRILL PEOPLE!

So, there you have it. You didn’t need to stay up to an ungodly hour, the Geek Crew have got you covered.
